When is new media no longer new?

Few understand the Internet, and most don’t really want to. And many have little respect for how the digital world provides an (amazing) opportunity for commerce, deepening the fan experience, and finding brand new ones.

I don’t pretend to understand the “Internet” or all that it has to offer, but I do understand that it is firmly here, it’s not going anywhere, we best embrace it, and that it has changed a lot of things.

Time continues. Technologies come, technologies go. Our ways of life get disrupted, we adapt, some survive, others don’t, we move on.

I’m not sure how much time must pass for an entity/organization/person to gain respect, but I think the Internet has gained its.

Is this topic really that big of a deal? Only if you’re still viewing the online world as simply “new media.”
